Choose your income currency in Settings. In Income, enter your monthly net income, hours worked per day, working days per week, and work start time. Settings save automatically. Then open the calculator, enter a price in the same currency, and tap Calculate.

Estimated monthly hours = hours per day × working days per week × 4.33. Your hourly value is monthly net income divided by those hours. The item price divided by your hourly value gives the working time needed.

For example, an income of 8,660 RON with 8 hours per day and 5 days per week gives 50 RON per hour. A 100 RON item represents 2 hours of work.

These are estimates, not a prediction of when you can afford something. Living expenses, holidays, unpaid breaks, overtime, and other commitments are not included.

In the iPhone app, the estimate starts from the current time if you are within your configured working hours; otherwise, it starts at your next working period. It skips non-working hours and assumes consecutive working days starting on Monday. Five working days means Monday–Friday.

The date is an illustration of earning time, not your payday. The website demo is simplified: it starts next Monday at 09:00 and assumes the income and price use the same currency.

Allow camera access when prompted, or use Open Settings if the scanner says permission is missing. Hold the phone steady, keep the price and currency symbol in view, and avoid glare. If several prices appear, select the right one and check the amount before calculating.

Live scanning depends on device support and camera availability. Manual price entry remains available when scanning cannot be used.

Choose the currency in which you earn your income in Settings. When the scanner recognizes a different supported currency, selecting the price requests a reference rate and converts the amount to your income currency. Check the original and converted amounts shown in the calculator.

This requires an internet connection. Reference rates may differ from the rate or fees charged by your bank. If the currency is not recognized, the price is treated as your income currency. If conversion fails, retry with a connection or enter an amount you have already converted yourself.

Changing the Settings currency changes how your entered income is interpreted; it does not convert the saved income amount. Check your income after changing it.

First open tag2time and save your income settings. Then use Share in Safari or a shopping app and choose tag2time. If it is not visible, look in the Share Sheet’s More list.

Some apps share only a link, while others provide a price or page information. If no price is found, enter one manually. If there are several candidates, choose the correct one.

Currently, the Share extension treats amounts as your income currency; it does not perform the scanner’s currency conversion. For a foreign-currency item, use the camera scanner or enter an already-converted price.

In Settings, turn off calculation details to hide the extra price and income metrics in the main calculator. Turn on financial-value blurring to obscure income and hourly-value displays. These controls change visibility, not the calculation or saved values.

The Share extension currently still displays the item price. Check what is visible before sharing a screenshot.

Settings offers English, Romanian, and Hungarian. Language changes apply in the app without changing your numbers.

You can edit saved values in the app. Delete App removes local app data; Offload App keeps it. Backups may retain separate copies. For information about website preferences or messages sent to us, read the privacy policy.
